At the age of 8, I underwent a life-altering adoption and relocation to France, leaving my biological family in Sri Lanka. This transformative journey, marked by challenges and love, has defined my identity. Adoption, a tumultuous mix of farewells and new beginnings, weaves a beautiful tapestry of resilience and a second chance at life. Embracing change meant overcoming hurdles in adapting to a new culture and family, forging a foundation of resilience for the uncertainties ahead.
In August 2020, the profound loss of my adopted mother plunged me into deep depression, intertwining with echoes of childhood trauma. Yet, from this confluence, I discovered an unexpected reservoir of resilience. Navigating grief and trauma, I realised my ability to withstand life's darkest moments traced back to the crucible of my youth.
Gratitude for the trials of childhood emerged as I recognised them as stepping stones to my current self. The darkness of depression and echoes of trauma became catalysts for transformation, leading me through therapy, holistic healing, and self-discovery.
Today, my story stands as a testament to resilience, self-discovery, and the profound impact of adversity on personal and collective growth. Despite profound loss and challenges, my journey embodies the potential for rebirth, healing, and renewed purpose.

By acknowledging and processing your trauma and rediscovering the joy in life, your desires reawaken, leading you to make choices in harmony with your true self. This process allows you to recalibrate your life, consciously shaping it in alignment with your authentic desires, nurturing relationships, and fully expressing your talents in your professional endeavours. You regain control over your circumstances, actively steering them to support your aspirations.
Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.
The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words - Rei which means "God's Wisdom or the Higher Power" and Ki which is "life force energy". So Reiki is actually "spiritually guided life force energy."
